Fire resistant floors
Existing timber constructions often have a fire resistance of ≤ 30 minutes. Duofor offers a fire resistant floor that meets the fire resistance requirement of ≥ 60 minutes. In this way, a Duofor fire resistant floor creates extra safety.
The fire resistance is usually determined by the floor boards and the timber layer. In the event of fire, this means the floor boards will collapse first, followed by the timber layer. The use of a fire resistant floor slab in your construction slows down the process. Duofor dovetailed sheets on timber layer or floor boards allow you to create a constructive and fire resistant top floor.
Duofor® dovetailed sheets meet the requirements for sound insulation and fire resistance according to Eurocode when properly processed in an overall construction.
