Application DTS-G impact sound insulation
By using DTS-G sound strips and edge strips, the Duofor® dovetailed sheet floor is kept completely free of the building construction. The right ratio between the relatively low weight of this structural top floor and the corresponding hardness of the DTS-G material, is the ideal solution to quickly and affordably meet sound requirements.
APPLICATION ON BOARDS DTS-G
Apply the sound strips to the floorboards. Maintain a centre-to-centre distance of up to 700 mm and align it with the length and overlap of the Duofor® dovetailed sheet. If possible, apply the strips above the wooden beam layer. Caution! Do not nail dovetailed sheets!
APPLICATION ON BEAM LAYER DTS-G
Apply the sound strips to the wooden beams and any steel beams. Adjust the length of the dovetailed sheet to the centre-to-centre dimensions of the beam layer. Caution! Do not nail dovetailed sheets!
EDGE ZONES AND VERTICAL CONNECTION
Keep the entire floor with mineral wool edge strips free of construction walls, pipes and penetrations.
Applying a system floor can be performed by you or your contractor.
